TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – DARK STREET/MARINERS SQUARE
THE COUNTY OF PEMBROKE (DARK STREET/MARINERS SQUARE, HAVERFORDWEST) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021
NOTICE is hereby given that Pembrokeshire County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The proposed Order is necessary so that scaffolding can be erected to a property on the corner of Dark Street/Mariners Square.
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit all vehicular traffic, other than exempted vehicles, from proceeding along those sections or road listed in the schedule to this notice.
The alternative route for traffic during the closure will be via High Street, Dew Street, Albert Street, Barn Street and Perrot Avenue.
The one way order for Dark Street will be revoked for the duration of the closure to enable access to and from properties located above the works.
It is intended that the restrictions, which will be signed accordingly, will come into effect on Monday 19th April 2021, for six weeks.
Pedestrian access will be maintained together with vehicular access to property located outside of the works area.
The Order will remain valid for a maximum period of 12 months as a contingency should the works need to be rescheduled or in the event of any unforeseen circumstances.
