MRS BARBARA MORGAN, FORMER MAYOR, SHERIFF AND TOWN COUNCILLOR

We are saddened to hear of the passing of a former Mayor, Sheriff and Town Councillor, Mrs Barbara Morgan.

Barbara served our town as Town Councillor for thirty years, holding the office of Mayor from 1987 to 1988 and three terms in office as Sheriff, 1998, 2005 and 2013.  She was also the Chair of the Personnel, Policy and Finance Committee for a number of years. 

Barbara was a committed member of the Haverfordwest Twinning Association and created many long lasting friendships with the people of Oberkirch.  She was heavily involved with the Haverfordwest Racecourse (Public Park) Trust, holding the office of Chair until her passing. 

Barbara was a fine servant of our town and will be fondly remembered by many people. A minute’s silence will be held in Barbara’s memory at the next meeting of Full Council.
