Come and celebrate St.David’s day on March the 1st, 2018 by joining Haverfordwest’s St.David’s Day Parade.

The Pembrokeshire Language Forum who are organising the event have already had confirmation from many local schools and community groups wishing to fly the flag and dress up for the St David’s Day parade.

Those interested in being part of the parade should bring their banner, flags and costumes to the Old Library Dew Street car park by 9.30am at the latest.

At 10 o’clock, Samba Doc will kick off the parade and lead schools, groups and the public through the streets of Haverfordwest. The parade will finish beside County Hall where you can join an open air jamboree.

One of those organising, Rhidian Evans of Menter Iaith Sir Benfro noted “There is a tremendous response with already over 1,000 people confirming that they will attend this first Haverfordwest St David’s day parade”.  Rhidian added, “There is also a special shop window competition with a special dragon trophy for the winning display”.

Anyone wishing to be involved with the shop window competition should contact Heledd Llwyd on 07809 731571.
