Haverfordwest Town Council and Haverfordwest Neighbourhood Policing Team are currently working together to enable Haverfordwest to become an Autism Friendly community in Pembrokeshire.

More than 1 in 100 people in the UK is on the autistic spectrum.  That is 700,000 people in UK.  Together with their families they make up around 2.8 million people whose lives are touched by autism every single day.  ASD Info Wales believes that autistic people have as much of a right to access shops, services and public places as everyone else

In a bid to improve access to the community for autistic people, the businesses and people of Haverfordwest are being asked to be involved in a new scheme developed by ASD Info Wales called The Autism Awareness Certification.

Join us at a public meeting at the Picton Centre, Freemens Way, Haverfordwest on Tuesday 24th October 2017 at 7pm to find out more.

At this meeting you will be able to ask questions and listen to first hand experiences of families whilst out shopping, at hairdressers, appointments at the doctors, in fact any every day situation.
