Welcome to Haverfordwest Town Council
Around 15,000 people live in Haverfordwest and they are served by their Town Council, which is comprised of five Wards – Castle, Garth, Priory, Portfield and Prendergast. Seventeen Town Councillors represent the residents on the full Town Council. Haverfordwest has a Town Mayor and also a Sheriff, only one of two Sheriffs left in Wales.
As the first tier of local government, Haverfordwest Town Council is an elected body with discretionary powers and rights laid down by Parliament and the Welsh Government to represent and provide services for its community. Town Council meetings are held monthly – see meeting dates – and members of the public are welcome to attend any meeting.
